Safety

Georgia Sea Kayakers encourage safety above all else. Paddling, or any water related activity is inherently dangerous. Always paddle in conditions well within your capabilities. Be aware of forecasted conditions for each trip and do not participate if your capabilities, absent assistance from others, are not sufficient for a safe return. The documents and references provided here are designed to help trip coordinators and trip participants plan and execute safe trips. However, your safety is your responsibility. By participating in group trips or events you are acknowledging this responsibility and you are agreeing to the waiver of liability incorporated in the Trip Sign Up and Release form provided below.

                                  Your safety is your responsibility.
