Welcome

Welcome to the Georgia Sea Kayakers web site.  We are an informal group of paddlers who enjoy sea kayaking and the camaraderie of fellow paddlers.  Through the volunteer efforts of our members, we facilitate paddling trips, skills improvement and safe practices.  While our name implies vast open oceans, our paddling typically includes  an interesting mix of rivers, lakes, swamps, salt water marshes and coastal ocean.

News Update

Based on feedback at the 2010 Trip Planning meeting, a new section has been added to the web site.  Check out the new 'Local' menu option which lists local trips designed to make it easier to fit paddling into busy schedules.

Trip Coordinators are needed for these local trips.  If you would like to volunteer as a coordinator, please send an email to administrator@georgiakayakers.com or post a comment on the Local Trips discussion forum.  Note that Trip Coordinator Guidelines and a series of other trip related references have been posted to the Safety section to assist Trip coordinators and participants enjoy fun and safe trips.
